Celebrate 10 years of Seattle connections

We love this video made by our friends at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, in recognition of the 10-year anniversary of our partnership.

Seattle has always been a great host to Icelandair, and we appreciate how welcome we have felt in this fun, creative, nature-surrounded city since we started flying between Iceland and Seattle in 2009. 

We’ve shared some interesting times (please enjoy the footage of various commentators trying to pronounce the name of one of our troublesome volcanoes, Eyjafjallajökull), but over the past decade our partnership has flourished, and Iceland and Seattle have grown in popularity among travelers. 

The KEF-SEA route has been a great success for us, and today we operate daily connections year-round (with two flights a day through the summer). We connect Seattle with Iceland and more than 20 destinations in Europe. Join us on your next transatlantic journey, and stopover to visit us in Iceland!
