A new partnership: Icelandair and Emirates

At Icelandair, we’re always looking for new ways to deliver more and better travel opportunities to you. This time around, we're delighted to announce a new codeshare agreement between Icelandair and Emirates, which brings new connections and easier access to exciting destinations.

Emirates and Icelandair sign a codeshare agreement

Icelandair and Emirates have signed a codeshare agreement that will allow customers to seamlessly travel across the two airlines’ networks, opening new and exciting travel corridors. The flights will be available for sale on September 1, 2024, subject to securing regulatory approvals.

The agreement will greatly increase both airlines’ offerings for convenient connections, where customers can travel on a single ticket and have their luggage checked through all the way to the final destination.

Icelandair passengers in North America and Iceland can connect eastbound via Emirates’ network to Dubai; and Emirates worldwide passengers can connect westbound via Icelandair’s network to Iceland. Icelandair and Emirates expect to further develop and expand the partnership in the future.

The Emirates story started in 1985 when they launched operations with just two aircraft. Today, they fly the world’s biggest fleets of Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s. Based in Dubai, Emirates connects people all over the world to a network of over 150 destinations.
