We both offer our passengers a comfortable, refreshing alternative to the typical airline experience as well as sleek, friendly service and gate-to-gate Wi-Fi access. This partnership will open the skies for travelers in North America and Europe who want to make the most of their flight miles while earning rewards for their travels. We are excited to share a reciprocal frequent flyer agreement and welcome JetBlue TrueBlue passengers onboard,” said Gudmundur Oskarsson, Icelandair’s Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing.
This year Icelandair celebrates its 80th anniversary and continues to grow its network and partners to best serve their customers. Icelandair currently serves the largest network in its history and has been an interline partner with JetBlue since May 2, 2012. JetBlue was founded in 1999 and today carries more than 35 million passengers a year to 100 cities in the U.S., Caribbean, and Latin America with an average of 925 daily flights.
“Five years ago, we took the first steps along the path of an ever strengthening partnership between JetBlue and Icelandair. This new loyalty partnership is an exciting addition that will allow even greater benefit for our customers as they travel within our two diverse networks of destinations and earn points anywhere our airlines fly,” said Jamie Perry, vice president marketing, JetBlue.
