When you are asked to select your preferred payment method, click on Use or combine other payment methods. Then a window opens up, where you can fill in your voucher number.

Please note that you will be asked for your credit card details, but your credit card will be charged only if the Travel Credit Voucher does not cover the total amount.

If you have an existing booking made with Icelandair, you may have the option to cancel your booking and receive a Travel Credit Voucher.

The Travel Credit Voucher expires 8 years after the date of issue. 

You can use the voucher to book flights within 8 years from its date of issue - that is, 8 years from the day you receive it. Note that travel can be taken anytime in a 1-year window from when you book.

No, you only have to use it to book flights within 8 years. Travel can be taken anytime in a 1-year window from when you book, meaning that you have up to 9 years to travel using the Travel Credit Voucher. 

Let’s take a simple example:

• You were booked to visit Iceland in April 2020 but cancel this booking.
• You receive a voucher from us dated March 31, 2020.
• You must book new travel using the voucher before March 31, 2028.
• Your new travel must be taken before March 31, 2029.

Yes, the Travel Credit Voucher can be used to purchase flights for other people.

No, you are free to make any booking you like. You can book for different people and choose a different destination.

Yes, you will get travel credit for the full amount previously spent on fare, fuel surcharge, airport taxes and any extra services you may have purchased.

Yes, any extra services you have purchased will be included in the voucher.

Yes, you can use your Travel Credit Voucher to pay part of a fare, and then pay the rest with other payment methods such as a credit card or Saga Points.

No, you simply keep the remaining credit on the same voucher.

You will receive travel credit equivalent to the full monetary value of your original booking.
