Ice fjord at Ilulissat, translated to Greenlandic as Ilulissat Kangerlua, is home to one of the most productive glaciers on earth. In order to truly see and understand the beauty of these towering icebergs, a boat trip sailing amongst, through and around them is essential. Seen from a boat, they look like icebergs rising straight out of the sea. The entire Ilulissat ice fjord is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List due to the large iceberg production of the Sermeq Kujalleq glacier at the bottom of the ice fjord.

No matter what the weather is like, the icebergs are always amazing to see. The sun makes the white ice shine and sparkle, while the blue colors of the ice come out when it's cloudy.

All boat trips are in licensed tour boats and with experienced guides who will tell you about the ice and its importance to the area.
