The Northern Lights by Boat tour from the Old Harbour in Reykjavík brings you away from the city lights, perfect for viewing the magnificent and other-worldly auroras! If you don’t experience any sightings, you’ll get another ticket to join us on the next available day.

Day 1You're headed to Iceland!

Board your Icelandair flight for the overnight to our hub at Keflavík International Airport. Familiarize yourself with Icelandic music, television and film during your flight with the seatback in-flight entertainment system - available to all passengers!

Day 2Welcome to Iceland!

You can book your transfer from Keflavik airport in advance and head to your Reykjavík hotel for check-in. Normal check-in times are in the afternoon, so if your room is not ready you, most properties should be able to store luggage with the front desk. In the meantime, you can enjoy Reykjavik city center and its numerous shops, cafés, restaurants before your night boat tour.

In the evening, make your own way (transfer is not included) down to the harbor for your Northern Lights Cruise, set to depart at 9pm. Be sure to arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to departure, where you'll then sail to a prime location away from the city lights, perfect for viewing the auroras! Your tour guide will share facts on the science behind the magical phenomenon of the Northern Lights, and tell you about their stories & myths from different cultures around the world. The tour takes about 2 hours depending on how early/late the lights might appear.

Day 3South Coast, Diamond Beach and Glacier Lagoon

Truly an unforgettable Icelandic experience, the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon is a stunning, natural display of icebergs from Europe’s largest glacier in a glowing array of white and blue shades, ending on the well known Diamond Beach.

On your way there you’ll also travel through the magnificent south coast of Iceland, an area of mountain passes, black sand beaches and magical waterfalls.

Day 4 (note: you can extend your trip!)Today's plans are all yours!

Today is your completely free day to explore on your own schedule. Plenty of tours are available to book, from full-day adventure tours like Golden Circle, Glacier Walk, to shorter Reykjavik city visits!

Your final dayFarewell, Ísland!
