A new partnership: Icelandair and Turkish Airlines

At Icelandair, we’re always looking for new ways to deliver more and better travel opportunities to you. This time around, we're delighted to announce a new codeshare agreement between Icelandair and Turkish Airlines, which brings new connections and easier access to exciting destinations.

A codeshare agreement between Icelandair and Turkish Airlines was signed at IATA’s Annual General Meeting in Istanbul on Sunday, June 4. With this agreement, the two airlines will be providing seamless connections to their customers and expanding the number of destinations on both carriers’ networks.

Icelandair passengers in North America and Iceland can connect eastbound via Turkish Airlines’ network to Istanbul; and Turkish Airlines worldwide passengers will be able to connect westbound via Icelandair’s network to Iceland and Canada.

This partnership increases both airlines’ offerings for convenient connections, where customers can travel on a single ticket and have their baggage checked in all the way to their final destination.

Turkish Airlines was established in 1933 with a fleet of five aircraft. Today Turkish Airlines is a member of Star Alliance and has a fleet of 416 (passenger and cargo) aircraft. Their route network spans over 340 destinations worldwide in 129 countries.

We look forward to seeing you on board, and to exploring the new horizons that this partnership brings. Check out our partner airlines page to learn more about our codeshare agreements and other partnerships.
