The Aurora Borealis, one of nature’s most spectacular exhibitions of beauty, is a natural phenomenon with the viewing season lasting from late August to as late as mid-April. NASA scientists have predicted the best possible conditions for seeing the Northern Lights in the current decade.

It's not just the Northern Lights that make Iceland the best winter holiday destination. During your stay, you will also discover the marvelous sites of the Golden Circle Classic tour, a must do while in Iceland with its three iconic natural treasures: Thingvellir National Park, where the American and Eurasian plates have been pulling apart, the erupting geyser that sends water and steam spouting skywards, and the spectacular Gullfoss Waterfall where a glacial river thunders 32 meters into a canyon.

If you want to see more of what Iceland offers, you can extend your stay and add extra tours during the booking process to spend time snowmobiling on glaciers, visiting Reykjavik with a local guide, horse-riding, etc. Let our exciting day tours lead the way!

For any Icelandair Holidays booking at any Berjaya hotel in Iceland: a complimentary welcome drink and a 15% discount at the hotel restaurant (except at the Alda hotel).

Your tour guide will drop you off back at your hotel for a break ranging between 3-6 hours before setting off on your evening hunt for the magical & mysterious northern lights.

Northern Lights Hunt late evening will take you to the best viewing location, as decided by Mother Nature. The Northern Lights might appear just outside of Reykjavik or perhaps from the middle of a lava field an hour's drive into the countryside. Every tour is unique, which is part of the adventure and your guide will use the most up-to-date weather and solar activity reports to plan your route. Coaches are equipped with free Wi-Fi. Departures range from 9:30 to 10:30pm, depending on the time of year, with hotel pick-ups beginning at 30 minutes prior. The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and their appearance cannot be guaranteed.
