The best time to visit
Spain has plenty of appeal all year round, so there's no bad time to visit!
Spring (March – May) provides blossoming landscapes, ideal for hitting up historic cities like Seville during the renowned Feria de Abril festival.
Meanwhile June-August brings high temperatures and plenty of visitors from near and far. Sun worshippers flock to coastal regions and islands like Tenerife, with their blue skies and golden sands. La Tomatina, the world-famous tomato-throwing festival in Buñol takes place in August too, and is not to be missed by those seeking a surreal bucket-list experience.
Fall brings milder temperatures and fewer crowds and wine lovers can enjoy Spain's wine harvest season and the Rioja wine festivals in Logroño. In the winter (December – February) Spain provides a picture-perfect setting for creating wholesome festive memories.
