These terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry/claim instructions are deemed to form part of these Terms and Conditions, and by participating all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by them. Please retain a copy for your information.

Eligibility

  • The competition ("Competition") is open to all over the age of 18, who create their own lineup and share it on Facebook, between June 2nd and July 15th, 2018. Employees, representatives or agents of Icelandair and its subsidiaries and affiliates are not eligible to enter the Competition.
  • Failure to comply with any part of the above clause will disqualify the respective entry from the Competition.
  • Maximum 1 entry per person. Entries (bulk or otherwise) made from trade, consumer groups or third parties or anyone other will not be accepted. If it becomes apparent that a participant is re-posting the same content multiple times or using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’ or any other automated means, that person’s entries will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.

 

Period

  • Entry to the Competition is open from 2nd June and throughout the FIFA World Cup in Russia, until 15th July, 2018.
  • Any entries received outside this period will not be entered into the Competition.

 

How to enter

  • Create your lineup by adding players to the field on our website.
  • Share your lineup on your Facebook profile. A form will then appear.
  • Fill out the form with accurate information and hit send. The information in the form will only be reviewed by Icelandair and is necessary to identify a winner. The data will not be shared with irrelevant third parties or used for other purposes.
  • Perform the Viking Clap while you wait.

 

Winner selection process and prizes

  • A gift certificate worth 100,000 ISK will be rewarded to a randomly selected grand-prize winner after the Competition ends.
  • Five (5) runner-up winners will be randomly selected throughout the competition, and receive an Iceland National Team jersey.
  • All entries from eligible participants will have a chance to win the prize.
  • Any personal data submitted to us will be solely used to randomly select winners. Personal data will be deleted within 30 days from the end date of the Competition unless  we have your consent.  

General Terms & Conditions

  • All entries submitted, and all information provided by entrants, must be complete and accurate.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement and disqualify the participant, where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, or any instructions forming part of this Competition's entry requirements, or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the Competition or won using fraudulent means.
  • The Promoter is not responsible or liable for:
    • any submissions that are lost or delayed due to faulty, failed or erroneous electronic data transmissions communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines satellites, servers, computers or providers utilized in any aspect of this Competition causing delays or disruption.
    • claims which are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered for any technical, delivery or other reason. Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of receipt as a result of inaccessibility or unavailability of the internet.
  • The contents of all entries submitted become property of the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to use the contents of entry submissions provided by entrants, for editorial, advertising, marketing and promotional purposes, without further compensation or notice, unless prohibited by law. Each eligible entrant grants permission for Promoter to use the contents of his/her entry submission for editorial, advertising, marketing and promotional purposes in any and all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide, in perpetuity, without compensation, notification or permission. Participants agree not to assert any moral rights in relation to such use where the moral rights in respect of the content, are theirs to assert. Participants warrant that the materials contain no copyright materials, are their original works, have not been copied, in whole or in part, from any third party and they have full authority to grant these rights.
  • Data Protection: The Promoter will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of the Competition and as part of the Competition and for no other purpose, unless we have your consent. Your personal details will at all times be kept confidential and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). Please read the Promoter’s full  Privacy Policy for more information. You can request access to your personal data, have any inaccuracies rectified, or request deletion of data, by filling out the form on https://www.icelandair.com/support/contact-us/drop-us-a-line/. The winners agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by the Promoter with no recompense. You agree to the use of your personal data as described here. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Winners will be annonced on www.icelandair.com at the end of the Competition, at the discretion of the winners.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement and disqualify the participant, where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, or any instructions forming part of this Competition’s entry requirements, or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the Competition or won using fraudulent means.
  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to modify or suspend the Competition or these Terms and Conditions, either in whole or in part, with or without notice but will always endeavor to minimize the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
  • The Promoter’s decision in all promotional matters is final.
  • The Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook or any other social media platform. You are providing your information to Icelandair, not to Facebook, Formstack or any other third party. By entering the Competition, all participants accept that they have no claim against Facebook whatsoever. By entering the Competition, all participants agree to a complete liability release for Facebook.
  • Any person posting, or seen to be posting, comments during the Competition that are considered bullying, spiteful or upsetting to other participants, associates or directly aimed at the Promoter, will have their comments removed and will be disqualified from the Competition. The Promoter reserves the right to alert Facebook to any such behavior, which may result in the person’s account being frozen pending investigation.
  • The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Competition or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
  • If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
  • The Competition and these Terms are governed by Icelandic law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Icelandic courts.
