Changes are allowed for a change fee, and fare difference may apply. All changes are subject to availability and must be made before departure of the originally scheduled flight.
Changing the whole trip
If your ticket comprises a domestic flight in Iceland and an international flight, and you are changing both flight legs, the international flight change fee applies. If you are changing only the domestic flight leg, change fee for domestic travel in Iceland applies.
If your ticket comprises flights in Economy Standard and Saga Premium and you are changing both flight legs at the same time, the Saga Premium change fee applies. If you are changing only one part of the flight, the change fee of the relevant fare applies.
Change fee is charged per ticket and based on the country where the journey with Icelandair begins.
Flying between Iceland and Europe when your travel originates in:
Iceland: ISK 13000
Greenland: EUR 75
United Kingdom: GBP 70
Other European countries: EUR 75
Flying between Iceland and North America and your travel originating in:
USA: USD 250
Canada: CAD 250
Iceland: ISK 13000
Flying between North America and Europe and your travel originating in:
USA: USD 250
Canada: CAD 250
United Kingdom: GBP 130
Other European countries: EUR 140
Flying domestically in Iceland: ISK 4000.
Flying between Iceland and Greenland: ISK 13000.
The fare is non-refundable (including any carrier imposed surcharges). Unused government and/or airport taxes are refundable (note that this does not include the booking fee, which is non-refundable).
Cancellation within 24 hours
If you book a ticket through Icelandair's booking channels, you can cancel the ticketed reservation without penalty and receive a refund if the reservation is made more than 2 days prior to the scheduled flight departure and is cancelled within 24 hours after purchasing (Holiday Package bookings included). Please note:
Cancellation of an upgraded fare
If an Economy Standard or Saga Premium fare is upgraded to an Economy Flex or Saga Premium Flex fare, the non-refundable terms of the original fare still apply, and only the difference paid for the Flex upgrade can be refunded.
No-show ticket is not valid for later use or refund.
Flight legs within the ticket must be used in chronological order. In the case of a no-show for any flight without advising our agents in advance, the remaining return and/or onward reservations will be automatically canceled. Refunds (if applicable) are according to the fare rules.
Please enter passenger name exactly as it appears in their current passports (i.e., do not use nicknames or abbreviations).
Name changes or ticket transfers (for example, Mary Smith to John Fraser) are not permitted, except for legal name change reasons (such as gender change or name changes due to marriage).
Domestic flights in Iceland:
Children aged 2-11 get a 50% discount on the fare, not including fuel surcharges, taxes, or other fees. Infants under 2 years old without a seat get a 90% discount on the fare, not including fuel surcharges, taxes, or other fees. Infants in a seat get a 50% discount on airfare.
Flights between Iceland and destinations in Europe, North America, Greenland, and also between destinations in North America and Europe:
Children aged 2-11 get a 20% discount on the fare, not including fuel surcharges, taxes, or other fees. Infants under 2 years old without a seat get a 90% discount on the fare, not including fuel surcharges, taxes, or other fees.
