Pingdom Check

The arctic capital. A vibrant city with cultural charm.

Embark on an unforgettable journey to the cozy capital of Greenland, Nuuk, located not far from the Arctic Circle. This holiday package includes flights to Nuuk and accommodation.

The vibrant city with its cultural charm boasts the distinction of being one of the world's smallest capital cities, with a population of around 20,000 people. Nuuk is home to some gourmet restaurants, shopping centers, hotels and several interesting museums.

In just a couple minutes walk you can reach the shores of Nuuk Fjord and take in the natural beauty all around. We also recommend that visitors take their time to enjoy the view at Kolonihavn or colonial harbour.

The flight from Keflavík Airport (KEF) to Nuuk (GOH) takes approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes.

Please note that prices and seat availability are limited, and the quoted package price is based on the lowest available flight fare on specific dates.

What can we do in Nuuk?

Greenland weather brings low temperatures, snow and ice, especially in the winter months, so it’s no surprise a lot of things to do in Nuuk are located indoors. Highlights include the Nuuk Art Museum, the National Museum and Archives, and the beautiful Katuaq Cultural Centre featuring dancing, concerts, films, art exhibits, performances and more. Be sure to check out their calendar for all the best upcoming events!

Braving the elements though are a given in Greenland, and there’s so much to do outside when Mother Nature allows. Glacier cruises, hiking fjords, paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, helicopter tours, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Visit local settlements close to Nuuk via the Nuuk Water Taxi to see how locals live outside the cosmopolitan capital. Go shopping for uniquely Greenlandic items – you can even pick up a traditional Greenlandic costume for protection against the elements back home!
