"Ballet is a language of the world, it knows no borders," says Alexander Stoyanov, artistic director and founder of the Kyiv Grand Ballet.
The Kyiv Grand Ballet is a leading classical ballet company from Ukraine, and one of the most successful touring companies in the international ballet world. In November, they will perform the beloved ballet The Nutcracker together with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, on stage in Reykjavík’s landmark Harpa Concert Hall.
This event offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a first-class ballet performance, set the mood for the holiday season, and support Ukrainian artists during a very challenging time.
The Nutcracker is one of the most popular ballets ever composed. The wonderful music by Tchaikovsky delivers the Christmas fairy-tale spirit, and around the world children and adults alike look forward to attending a magical performance. Icelandair is proud to collaborate with Harpa Concert Hall to help ballet-lovers enjoy such an event in a unique location.
The Nutcracker performances take place November 24, 25 and 26.
Packages are available for 3 nights in Reykjavík and include flight, hotel, and ticket to the show.

While in Iceland, we highly recommend considering one of the many day tours that are available, to explore everything from geothermal lagoons to the beautiful Icelandic countryside.
